One Individual was taken into custody by police.
The police did not produce him before the magistrate for
nearly 30 Days, even though they are supposed to do it with in 1 Day.
His mother went to the police station station along with another lawyer saw him there,
but the arrogant police threatened both of them.
Then his mother Approached Akbar Sir (Advocate,
Visakhapatnam), then we filed RTI Application seeking the full details of his
arrest, to whom the police have informed about the arrest with in 48 Hrs u/s 7(1) RTI Act,2005, Life and Liberty.
The result is, he was paraded before media with in 48 Hr and
later was produced before the magistrate.
Just imagine, The symbol of arrogant power, the police, have
bowed their heads to the power of RTI, then imagine how about other government
departments response to RTI. (though proper drafting is crucial)
