Nature in every Home
Having a feminist ideology, in our earlier discussions I participated and conveyed my opinion, but this time I was silent to listen what the three women say. But the answers were not at all convincing to me.
When I looked for the reasons, I could find few, 1) They are living in a patriarchal society which never allowed them to even dream that they are also equal to men 2) Because of the comfort level they would not have told few things 3) they would not discussed about the topic any time before 4) Fear of rejection from the male dominated lunch table.
But I am putting my points here... This may at least help few people realise about the facts :)
Starting from womb to tomb there are few interesting facts about female gender. I will not term them as advantages because it is nature’s partiality towards its replica (women) in every home.
1) A female foetus is stronger to that of male foetus. It is relatively less affected with early stage diseases to new born babies. So less medical expenditure and nutritional expenditure to the Family so as to the Govt.
(But shockingly Number of deaths of female babies (less than 5 years) is more than male babies, because of our patriarchal family structure and dowry system people believing that a female is minus, so they want to eliminate the minus)
2) A woman has good nurturing power to that of male counterparts. So kids who grow in the hands of female will be relatively good Citizens.
3) Even though female are 48.2 % in number they take only 33 % reservation to promote the 51.8 % male counterparts in a patriarchal family structured country. If women take 48 % reservation the 15 % male counterparts have to stay at home.
(When SC/ST/BC are X% in the population Govt. Gave X % reservation, but our feminists are satisfied with 33% reservation for 48.2 % females who have been suppressed from ages)
4) Women, as a re-productive agent plays a crucial role in the existence and survival of the human populace.
5) Mother milk is the best nutrition to the baby with out which the baby growth will be affected.
(Strict advice from the doctors is that with in 3 hrs of delivery mother should feed the baby except in special cases)
(But the women in a male dominated patriarchal society, is given relatively less importance by us (This will not be applicable to college students and bachelors), be it power, authority, property male dominated society does not like to share with women)
6) When a women’s partner dies she prefer not to marry, thinking the new man may not take care of children, when a man’s partner dies he prefer to marry, thinking the new women will take care of children. (We and our society has so much faith and confidence in women, that is natures greatness, here I do not prefer to talk about a humans who kill their partners to make a new partnership)
7) In rural poor families the mother feeds her baby boy first then her baby girl, thinking that he will be a +. The same baby girl will do the same thing after she becomes mother without having any partiality, just because of patriarchal social pressure which promotes a belief “Pouring water to a tree which is going to be in some other garden is useless”. A mother in rural India (Majorly) believes that her son is “+” even though the same son who came out of her womb will call a female baby as “-“.
8) In Indian Society women gives less work to FM (Finance minister) because their home work is not required to be calculated into GDP.
(As you know, service sector contribute more than 50 % to the GDP, but if we value & add women home service to the %, it will grow to 70- 80 % of GDP. We neglect the home service done by women, even many women say that they are doing nothing at home, because they are made to believe that the home work is value less. This is one of major reason why few men do not see women contribution as they see every thing in paper money)
· Providing equal opportunities in all aspects
· Eliminating the dowry system with the strict law
· Providing property rights with the law
are few of the many possible options to make the man realise about the greatness of women, but the challenge is to bring the educated women in to the fight to pursued the Govt. for better laws which would make India to achieve one of its it MDG (Millennium Development Goals) i.e. Gender Equality.

Increasing employment:A very simple method
Looks like a crazy idea...
Let’s assume that, as per the labour law of India, a resource can work for 10 hrs/day.
· If 1000 people are working 10 hrs per day, the task will get over in 1 month.
· Corporate has achieved its goal of completing the task.
· Corporate pumped (1000X20000) 20 million rupees i.e., 20M INR in to the economy.
· 1000 families are earning 20000 per month.
· Corporate created a talent pool of 1000 people. If each family spends 10000 and saves 10000 in banks per month, 10 million will reach the market as direct revenue for the companies and 10 million will be available to the companies as Capital which is saved in banks. So, 20 million is back in the market.
In an economy of 1200 people who are in search of suitable jobs,
· Govt is able to provide employment for only 1000. So, remaining 200 people/families are unemployed.
· Govt is not able provide employment for 200 persons, which will increase the gap b/w the have’s (1000) and the have not’s (200), this lead to conflicts b/w the two classes.
· Due to unemployment, basic needs of the 200 people/families will not be met and then arises the gap between the have’s (1000) and the have not’s (200).This will therefore lead to conflicts among them and henceforth divides them into 2 different classes.
· The have not’s (200 eligible candidates) might end up in extremist’s activities to fulfil their personal needs.
· If the demand rises sharply, the corporate might force the employees to work 15 hrs per day which would result in undesired consequences on the social structure. So the corporate might need to struggle to achieve the target.
· Unfortunately, 100 resources are out of work and again the corporate is in trouble. It might not be able to meet the deadline with 900 work forces.
Let us think in a different way;
Govt has changed the policy to reduce the work hours to 8hrs per day,
· In order to meet the client commitment, the corporate has to recruit and train 1200 resources. This will be a headache to the corporate, as, it has to administer 200 extra resources.
· Corporate would now be paying 16000 per employee, as the administrative activities have consumed extra 0.8 Millions per month.
· Now if we see the economy, all the 1200 resources are employed.
· There is no question of have’s and have not’s in the knowledge society.
· All the 1200 families would be spending 8000 as expenditure 8000 as saving (as the salary levels go down spending of families also goes down), remaining 0.8 Million also will come into market as the corporate spends in Training and in Administration. So 20 Million is in the open market again.
· If the demand goes up sharply, employer can increase the work hours for certain duration (on work-pay basis) to fulfil the requirements, so corporate will not loose the market.
· Reducing work hours means spending more time with family community, which is the most desirable feature of any knowledge society for the inclusive growth.
Looks so simple...But what are the challenges ahead of the Country to do the same.
· The GoI (Govt of India) along with the Executive (Bureaucrats) would be thinking from the capitalistic corporate point of view to exploit the resources, instead of a sustainable society.
· The GoI would be under severe pressure from the corporate to do the same as it incur 0.8 Million extra cost to corporate which would eat-up the overall margins of the corporate.
· Employees might not co-operate to reduce their salaries as they are used to high salaries.
· Training and administration would be a big challenge to the country and the corporate.
So, the Govt with its supreme power “Law of the Land”, has to ensure that the demand and supply are met, thus resulting in growth and wellbeing of all sections of the society. It can now concentrate on amendments to the labour law to make sure that there is equality in the knowledge society, thus becomes an important step in its commitment towards inclusive growth.
If the Govt along with the bureaucrats implements this idea with an amendment to the law, we can increase the employment by 20 % :) more over we can have sustainable knowledge society.

Discrimination and “the way I see it”
UNJUST happens Just like that (Injustice happens as it is justice).
Let’s go back to history to know few more details about discrimination’s evolution.
During initial days of human civilization as per the resource availability and as per the great saying "necessity was the mother of invention" people started practicing various occupations like farming, pot making, leather works, fishing etc.. As the connectivity and dependency between the people grew, then emerged a new profession called politics which was overlooking administration of the group of lands. People felt the ownership of their occupations rather than encouraging knowledge sharing about their practices to other working groups, hence started the discrimination among people further dividing the families according to their occupations. As politicians started looking into administrative activities, they had to rate people based on the value that a particular community adds to the political boundary be it in commodity value or Spiritual value or number of warriors it provides.
Lets us Re-visit the complete issue of discrimination with human body evolution.
When we came out of our mother’s womb, we do not know any one of the discriminations (Initial phase of civilization) we just do what ever we like based on the necessity and our enjoyment. We treat all our organs in the same way (As we were considering our functions during the initial phase of human evolution) But as we grow we would be getting instructions from our parents and society about the do’s and don’ts in an enforced manner (Like early politician decides what is worthy and what not our parents are initial politician). We feel those instructions are justice, most of the time this is where the discriminations starts. We might have a suspected vision on other class as we were told that.
If you look at your organs carefully today (as you read this blog) observe carefully how you are discriminating your own organs (your face/legs/hands/feet and other parts); you treat your face with highest importance, you spend lion share of your body care investment on your face. Does it mean if your face is good you will be completely healthy? Everyone is answer is NO! (If some one says YES, I request them not to read further J )
Why is the discrimination on your own legs???
When I got this thought some time in March 2010, I have decided to stop it right away. I saw my both hands as different classes in the society. I saw my both legs as different classes in the society. I want to stop the centuries old discrimination with my small step. I want to stop the discrimination of my left, so I have exchanged my right tasks to left and left tasks to right. It is almost 5 months by today, and I feel I broke my age old perceptions on left and right. I am sure from my side the same will flow to the society.
As Mahatma Gandhi Puts it “Be the change you want to see”.

Objectivism and Subjectivism
When we see a Material/Immaterial "OBJECT" Associating with a static "SUBJECT", the opinion on the Object will be same. But "Subject" is a Dynamic concept which varies from person to person and time to time.
So when a Material/Immaterial "OBJECT" is observed by two persons who have different subjects on the object, the opinion differs. This will be same as when the same person observes the Material/Immaterial "OBJECT" in different times, he will have different opinions.

Story of 5 Ball's
VERY SHORT, MOST EFFECTIVE AND HOW TRUE...
30 second Speech by Bryan Dyson (CEO of Coca Cola)
"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some
five balls in the air. You name them - Work, Family, Health, Friends and
Spirit and you're keeping all of these in the Air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you
drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four Balls - Family, Health, Friends and
Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they
will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even
shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand
that and strive for it."
WORK EFFICIENTLY DURING OFFICE HOURS AND
LEAVE ON TIME. GIVE THE REQUIRED TIME TO YOUR FAMILY,
FRIENDS & HAVE PROPER REST.

Practice & Promote GENDER Equality

If we look back into our history most of our past generations lived in a patrilocal society where the newly married couple stays with Men’s family; in a patriarchal family system men exercise authority and decision making. So after the marriage the women has to leave her parents and should be living with her husband’s family.
Let’s see few phases of common INDIAN women…
1) She has to fight the female foeticide (killing of female baby) before birth
2) If she win’s the first battle; she will start seeing the gender in-equality in
À The health care facilities,
À Educational opportunities,
À Home related work and
À Many other Myths/paradigms like GIRLS has to do that, they should not do that etc.
This is the same practice even now.
For financially weak families “Bringing Up a daughter is like watering a plant in another’s courtyard”.
The family head thinks like,
À His daughter will be going to another’s home.
À He needs to give lot of dowry
À She will not take care of them after her marriage.
To my understanding at this point of time, this is what “the financially weak family head” thinks.
It is the responsibility of the society and the government to eliminate this kind of in-equality.We have 47 % female population with 937 females for every 1000 males. If we see the earning female population is very less which directly means they are not self-reliant. The girl enrollment in the educational institutions is very relatively less to that of their population. IMR of female baby is more than boy baby.
I would like to summarise all the above mentioned points in two sentences
Our History of patrilocal Social Structure and Dowry system.
Every one want changes in the way things work, but many feel that they cannot do any thing.
But in the GENDER equality issue, you as a person can do things which would bring the change you want.
=> If you are a bachelor honestly reject Dowry
=> If you a newly married man of non-self reliant wife,
=> First make her self-reliant before you make her mother and
=> Practice ways which actually allows your wife to take her parents responsibilities in need.
=> If you are a Father of a Girl child, give them proper education and health facilities and make them self-reliant then do their marriage.
A relation has to sustain with love and not with insecurity.
Change is just in your hands.

Fight Social Injustice with a team
When I was in intermediate (10+2)
During my practical exams-viva I was asked unusual questions.
Examiner: Do you tease girls in your college?
Me: No Sir.
Examiner: Do you tease lecturers in your college?
Me: I was Silent.
Examiner: What is your attendance %?
Me: More than 97 % Sir.
Examiner: How many marks you got in Chemistry?
Me: 60/60(Q), 60/60(H), 60/60(Pre)
Examiner: Then why is your name in this list
Me: I was Silent.
Then he asked me two questions related to my experiment; asked me to leave the room.
@ The back-end the history is:
During the practical examinations, my name was in 20-25 marks list (max marks were 30 and 60 to 70 % of folks will be in the 30/30 list) It was not surprising to me to know that my name was in that list being the college topper (Note: Only twice I secured 2nd Rank, I would say I left the first Rank it to save one relationship),
Because I was expecting the scenario much before, when I raised my voice against the Management for collecting extra bus fee from the students. My dad warned about my straight forwardness around 3 times in the same year;
When I was in engineering
We were successful as a class in opposing a big organization like GITAM for its unethical imposition of fines and impossible practices. I have two acknowledge two persons here (Sandeep and Murthy) who stood ahead of us.
@ The back-end the history is:
We have few guys, who were ready to take any challenges
Good unity in our class.
During my NCC ‘C’ Certificate Exam results
I was surprised to know that I did not clear the EXAM.
(That was the first exam I failed in my 15 years of education till then) It was even big surprise to the other Cadets who did NCC along with me.
@ The back-end the history is:
I got 44/50 in the drill exam
I am confident that I wrote the exam well.
But I raised the voice against my ANO (Associate NCC Officer) for asking bribe.
But the fact is I was the only guy who raised the voice in front of him.
If you see the 3 incidents,
Every where the problem is for my society along with me, the society is not at all happy; but in intermediate and during NCC exam, I tried to fight alone for the entire society. And the System thought that, I was the only guys who had the problem, and the system want to get rid off me.
Where as during my Engineering Days, I was part of a very vibrant team which opposed the injustice.
So what I am trying to say from the above 3 incidents, is;
If you want to fight the social injustice, never ever try to go alone, find out the people who are impacted unite them fight along with them; success rate would be relatively more in this approach. Prepare the team for the worst possible outcome before they start the fight.
Few people would say that, why should I care if some other face the injustice,
Because we are living in an inter-related society, so the impact of injustice will reach you one day.
