Spreading Right To Information Act 2005, through ACT:::A Small Contribution

Good Evening ACT,
RTI Act, 2005 has been doing phenomenal work to empower people to become true citizens.

In this respect,
We, the ones who tasted the Power of Democracy trough RTI needs to do 3 things.
1. We, the tasted ones, focusing on Illegal, corrupt, Unethical (ICU) at high places.
2. Through Courts (PILs) , Govts (u/s 26(1)(a,b)) and Information commissions (u/s 19(8)(a))
3. Mass spread of RTI Act, 2005 through AUDIO and VIDEO’s

Regarding the first,
I thing the activities that brought us here, on this platform, would be sufficient, and naturally they will be evolved under able guidance of ACT

Coming to second one

2-A: u/s 4(1)(b) of RTI Act, 2005, which must reveal 17 items automatically within 120 DAYS of the law comes into force, and the data must be updated every year.
This has been not done even after 11 Years. We need to get data from websites and other sources, and file PIL in High Court and Supreme court for the implementation of this provision.
We have to carefully consider one aspect: xi, Xii, Xii point of 4(1)(b) has the capacity to widen social audit and transform Indian Social and political and Economical landscapes.

2-B: Similarly u/s 26(1)(a), 26(1)(b); Govt has the responsibility to Promote law awareness, we can file RTI to all the 37 Administrative division (Center+ states + UTs) to seek what they have done in the last 11 years in this regard.

2-C: Besides, the fight has to extend to Information Commissions (IC) as well. u/s 19(8)(a), IC's have right to give orders to the executive to implement the provision of the RTI Act, 2005. We need to file RTI to the IC's to know the details.

As we all know when the positions in IC are becoming patronage to political party rather than to the spirit of Democracy & Constitution, we, the Citizens, through the ACT platform, needs to take on these non-performing ICs.

Lastly;
If Govts of 37 admin divisions are not promoting the RTI Act, 2005, what needs to be done?
I had many times thought, that why parliament and State legislatures are not creating laws in AUDIO and VIDEO forms. The legislatures are excluding people from knowing the laws of the land by not doing this, With due respect to respectable lawyers, this makes only lawyers and lawmakers to hold grip on to the power and not the true sovereign.

India being in Data boom, network reach in far & wide, these audios and Video can reach the so called most needy people.

With less than 30 minutes Audio/Video (IMO: People have limited patience) in all regional languages along with English will help our mission of ACT to a great extent.

Then we can hire Rickshaw and Autos on Daily basis, based on funds availability and let them move in the areas where the ACT perceives it needed the most.

Later we can target huge religious and non-religious gathering to promote the RTI Act.

This was always in my mind, but due to resource crunch (Time, Money, like minded Manpower) things were not moving from my side.

As an Individual, My interpretation of law and other views that are presented here, may be wrong, but when I put them before a team of Spirited Citizens, they would be rectified and taken if not already being done.
