Bhagavadgita is more secular than Indian Constitution
The basic discourses any Religion is for a harmonious social order, to give knowledge about what we really don't understand through our senses.
Bhagavadgita (Including all other original Religious Scriptures), as my understanding of it, is just doing it.
Why I have to use the word Secular only? That is what is more complicated in today's national political-society. Every party tries to use the word SECULAR in a way which suits them. This is threatening people of a peaceful society.
Here It would be appropriate for me to remember Coser's Theory on Conflict, in which he says that "Conflict has many functions", some of them include
1) Conflict binds group strongly-- You see when we have a conflict with Pak, how strongly we (Indian group) are bonded, the same can be applied even to a family fight with another family
2) Conflict shows our friends and Enemies--We can see If our country is in war with Pak, who comes on our side;
3) Conflict gives us new Friends--In similar situation we may get our friends (Their motives are not important here)
This concept has been wonderfully used, misused, abused by our political class.
When one party speaks of Secular they mean to unite all friends, more importantly politically. When another party oppose first party secular agenda, even its aim is to polarize, and not to empower any one.In this debate, talking about Bhagaadgita has become, a taboo for many, as it is anti-secular group.
Before reading Bhagaadgita, I was somewhat inclined to believe this view, but today as the title says, what I am thinking.
But today, I am believing that,
A true reader will treat all living being equally
A true reader will never harm any one Physically mentally.
A true reader will never differentiate their god with another god, rather he thinks why there are different interpretations?
A true reader never tries to impose his way of life on another in the name of Uniform Civil code.
A true reader will never curtail the peaceful practices of reaching god in the name of morality or public order.
A true reader will never disallow a person in the name of religion to reside as a neighbor.
A true reader will never dictate what people eat, and what they should not
A true reader only believes in Supreme God i.e Paramatma (Sanskrit) in Arabic it is Allah and in a Middle east language it is Yohova
But Indian Constitution can allow all these in Exceptional cases, and we all know, how frequently politician use exceptions.
Using Constitution we can define classes/castes/religions
Using Constitution we can harm, even take out life in the name of Rule-of-Law (applies only to perceived enemies)
Using constitution we can pump different sums of money in the name of treating all religions equally.
Using constitution, Uniform Civil Code can be drafted which may take out some of religious way of living
Using Constitution we can ban women from entering temples, but god is present in every one in the form of Allah/Paramatma/Yohova
So Every law has its origin in Religion, though a corrupted from of religion, All Religions have Corruptions, which were introduced by the power holders to have their grip on it for all future to come. If any politician irrespective of religion talks about their supreme religious scripture, it is to to functional aspect of Coser, and not to emancipate the masses.
Lets Read the original Texts, They are no more in the control of only Few.
Let be more Religious.

Note: This article does not mean, Lack of Faith in Indian Constitution. It is only how we can better it in future, through amending the minds of People. The article talks about how polarization in the name of religion is taking place in Political Society. And How we as Sovereign Citizens should not get into the trap of Selfish Politicians.
