Why human rights work_Writeup for HRLN Internship

The Supreme Being, with names including, Allah, Yohova, Paramatma or other, has created all that exists including humans. But Man in the name of evolution & Civilization has multi-stratified the society in the excuse of smooth functioning. In this process many sections of society are unjustly forced into unconscious self inflicting slavery, which is supported by different ideologies such as Religion, Race, Caste, Gender among other. Besides as Karl Marx puts it “The base i.e Economic System Controls Super Structure i.e polity, social relations, religion”, The Capitalistic System has become the self destruction mechanism of Humans Just like Auto-Phaggy of Human Cells.

                  With the above mentioned Divisions among humans, few Ruling Elite control all the social systems, with different political establishments be it Electocracy, Monarchy, Autocracy or the other. These Ruling Elite use the Status quo to maintain the authority over others by giving opium like Religion, Race, Caste, Region, Gender and War. The Supreme Being is Present in each and every atom of the universe. Thus, We Humans are equal among us and with other species. On the Contrary The Ruling Elite, by giving selfish interpretation to the belief systems, caused Crusades, Jihads or Sectorial War fares. Thus all the mechanism designed by the ruling elite has virtually Resulted in Exploitation of Human Rights.

Can we come out of this?

                  Optimists say Yes and Pessimists Say No. I, as an Optimist, Universalist and a Realist believe that, sowing seeds is the duty of the conscious people. The various externalities determine the seeds progress. But when we don’t sow the seeds, none of the externalities would make a tree and Fruits.

                  With this Optimism I left Infosys (2007-11) to have a tool to Serve the Supreme Being Present in the poor and the needy. As per the social norms I have chosen Civil Services, but God has Different plans. Under unexpected Circumstances, I am forced out of APPSC Group-1 Interview List and UPSC Civils. Thus I turned towards Law, wrote APLAWCET, secured State 2^nd Rank, got Admission into AU Campus. I tried again for Civils but Result is Same.

                   I had been using RTI Act, 2005 even before joining Law to Solve issues at the Gross root. LPG Cylinders, Panchayat Corruption, Railway Catering corruption. Besides I have been using http://pgportal.gov.in/ to redress some small issues. For Small Duration I was Associated with VCLU (Akbar Sir) and worked successfully in the saving of an individual from illegal detention by police. Me being Educated in Engineering, Law, Sociology, Management, employed in MNC (Infosys) gave no satisfaction to my soul. When I searched where my Soul gets satisfaction it is in “my body’s contribution to the empowerment of Individuals who otherwise unconsciously or consciously inflicting themselves, due to lack of opportunity or in pessimism.

Constitution and Democracy are antidotes to the divisive and exploitative aspects. However In India the constitution makers, looking at the fruits of Democracy in west, have established Democratic Institutions and Values. But the mass of subjects because of illiteracy, poverty, ignorance, loyalty could not realize even today that they are Sovereign Citizens. I think this ideology of Sovereign Citizen is the first step to empower the downtrodden citizens and subsequently protect their Rights and promote peace and Harmony in the society. After knowing the work of HRLN, my belief about Empowering people has got huge boost.
